MEET OUR GOATS
Here at Old Factory we have a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf Goats that produce milk for our Goats Milk Soap Collection.
Nigerian dwarf goats
Nigerian Dwarf Goats are a milking breed, known for their small stature, friendly nature, and delicious milk. Our herd of Nigerian’s live here at the Old Factory Ranch, and produce the cleanest and most delicious tasting goats milk I have ever tried!
meet salt
Salt is the leader of our pack, head momma goat. She offers us daily fresh milk for our soap, and of course our coffee. This year, she had triplets: Rio, Chase, and Sky. Visit our instagram feed to see pictures!
PEPPER
Second in command, Salts sister Pepper is our other strong milker. She kidded the day after Salt this year, and gave us two beautiful babies. One doeling named Cypress Morello and one buckling, Comfrey Beauregard.
Why goats milk soap?
We have three base recipes we have developed here at Old Factory, one of them is our goats milk soap recipe. We love all three of these recipes for different reasons, but there is a special luxurious feel to goats milk soap bars, read more about it on our blog.
Goats milk soap
What inspired us to start our herd of Nigerian Dwarf Goats?
We were soap makers first, and goat farmers second. We have spent years developing our recipes, our lines, and our craft. Our desire to localize as many ingredients as possible led us to our herd of goats. We believe that the most nourishing products are ones that are fresh and full of life. We hope you give our goats milk soap a try!
