Sadly, I think we have all heard some scary news recently about puppy’s dying from a recently updated blend of major brand dog soap. This is just absurd and should never have happened!  Using simple, safe ingredients for our beloved pets, kids, husbands, wives, family members should be the only thing we use.  Luckily, Old Factory has had a simple, safe, and natural dog soap for years.

We offer two varieties of dog soap. Our Nose & Coat Blue is perfect for dogs with sensitive or itchy skin (works well for humans too with these skin issues!). Nose & Coat red is your standard rough and tumble dirty dog bar – clean up that smell with all natural ingredients and dog safe essential oils.  We originally came out the with red bar many years ago.  The blue bar actually originated in our shea butter and flaxseed oil line, a soap for humans with dry itchy skin, eczema, psoriasis – you know, the inflammatory issues of skin so many have these days. Well, we used to have cows grazing some of the Old Factory ranch and one day the rancher came by to round up some of the cows, he brought his trusty Australian shepherd to do the job, and mentioned to us that he had given his dog a flea pill that made him itch so bad, he itched all of his skin and hair off. Yikes! We gave him a bar of our “Lavender Benzoin Bergamot to use, and said try this, its safe for dogs and humans alike.  It worked wonders, so this bar became “Nose & Coat Blue”.  The exact same bar still exists in our shea butter & flaxseed oil line, called “Lavender Benzoin Bergamot” so yes, you can use it on yourself, your kids, your dog, etc.

Nose & Coat Red Ingredients:  Saponified organic oils (extra-virgin olive, coconut, flaxseed and shea butter), essential oils (Lavender, Cedarwood, Peppermint, Patchouli, Tea Tree), poppyseeds, Australian Red and Pink Clays

Nose & Coat Blue Ingredients: Saponified organic olive oil, organic flaxseed oil, organic coconut oil, organic shea butter, essential oils of lavender, benzoin, bergamot, dried comfrey leaf.
